04 / Residential GC

The crew left the site. The daily log did not.

The second job is the log, the RFI, and the photos, after the crew is gone. That is the cabin. For owner-led residential builders already in Procore. Daily-log summary, aging RFIs, submittal chase, and a photo drop that drafts the log. A person still files it.

Wet wood studs at night, one work light. Field reference, not a client project.

RFI 3 · Hold-down not on the plan

Tagged on the photo. The clipboard line stays with the job.

The leak

ServiceTitan surveyed 1,020 commercial owners from July 10 to 28, 2026. 69 percent named warranty and service-agreement details as a top thing the field cannot see. The office has the record. The crew does not. The older rework study is still PlanGrid and FMI, 2018: 14.1 hours a week on non-optimal work, and 48 percent of U.S. rework tied to bad data. Use 2026 for the gap. Say 2018 when you cite the hours.

First agent

A weekday daily-log draft: manpower, notes, and photos summarized into a log the superintendent approves before it is written to Procore.

  • Daily log summary

Reads the day’s logs and drafts a short brief for the owner. Does not edit yesterday to make production look cleaner.

  • RFI aging

Lists RFIs past your threshold. Drafts a chase note to the party already on the RFI. Does not answer the RFI.

  • Submittal chase

Open submittals, ball-in-court, due date. A nudge, not a rejection.

  • Photo to daily log

Reads field photos as inputs. Drafts log lines. The super confirms before any write.

Stack

Procore REST v1.0 with a Developer Managed Service Account so you can scope tool and project. QuickBooks or your accounting export stays downstream. Photos never become the system of record.

It will not

  • Close an RFI.
  • Approve a submittal.
  • Change a cost code or a budget.
