The crew is off the roof. The quote is still your night.
First trade I take. The second job is the paperwork after the crew is done, and it costs you the cabin weekend. Missed-call text-back, membership reminders, and a margin flag when labor hours blow past the estimate. ServiceTitan if you have it. Jobber or Housecall Pro if that is the book.

The leak
The job is typed more than once. The estimate is in one system, the crew's notes in another, QuickBooks after that. The paper ticket is often still in the mix. ServiceTitan’s 2026 commercial specialty report found 80 percent of those contractors running one job across two to ten disconnected systems. A small crew is not that sample. The break is the same shape. None of it is your P&L until we count your retypes.
First agent
Missed-call text-back inside five minutes, drafted from the call record, held for your approval until you turn the gate off.
Missed-call text-back
Polls new calls. If nobody answered, drafts a short text with the real callback number. Does not invent availability.
Membership renewal
Reads memberships coming due. Drafts a reminder in your voice. No discount unless you already priced one.
After-hours emergency booking
Gas, CO, no heat with a medical flag: it stops selling and drafts a dispatch note. Ordinary after-hours calls get a booking draft, not a promise.
Review request
After a completed job, one ask. Not a drip campaign.
Margin alert
When logged labor hours pass the estimate, you get a note. It does not reprice the invoice.
Stack
ServiceTitan is the sharp path: jobs, estimates, customers, memberships, telecom calls. Jobber works through the open API on Connect or Grow, or the maintained Zapier app. Housecall Pro’s public API sits behind MAX or XL, reported around $329 a month and up, so that path is thinner until the plan allows it.
It will not
- Replace your CSR or your on-call tech.
- Quote a price that is not already in the pricebook.
- Send a customer message before the human gate, unless you disable that gate for this agent in writing.
