The storm call is the trade. The file is the night.
I do not sell you out of the phone. I take the second job, the insurance file and the books that do not share the job. That file is the Harley still in the garage. Lead intake when the phones melt, and a checklist for the insurance file. I will not build a storm-chaser script that invents damage.

The leak
After a storm the phone is the whole week. Industry surveys (Podium, Lead Connect and similar) put the share of customers who hire the first responder around 78 percent. The quieter leak is the file: the insurance packet, the estimate, and the books do not share one record. ServiceTitan’s 2026 commercial survey found 96 percent of those owners waiting 15 days or more to be paid, while 82 percent had already invoiced within three days.
First agent
Storm-damage lead intake: a text-back and a question list (address, slope access, active leak or not, insurance carrier if they have it). No scope, no price.
Storm lead intake
Captures facts. Creates a lead or booking draft. Emergency interior leak language flags you immediately.
Insurance documentation checklist
A list of photos and notes your crew already owes the file. It does not write the carrier.
Estimate follow-up
Same unsold-estimate pattern as plumbing, after you have a written number.
Stack
ServiceTitan or Jobber for leads and jobs. Photos flow in as evidence on the job. They are not a second CRM.
It will not
- Tell a homeowner a claim will be approved.
- Name a price before an estimate exists.
- Promise a crew date that is not on the board.
